The NIBIN Executive Board recommends and provides guidance to ATF regarding NIBIN operations; rules, regulations, and procedures; and external relationships to include expansion of the Program to increase participation from Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies. On December 11, 2009, the following appointments were issued by the ATF Director:

Deputy Superintendent William Casey – Boston Police Department. Mr. Casey is a member of the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA) and IACP and has served on the NIBIN Executive Board since 1999.

Sheriff Al Lamberti - Broward County (FL) Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Lamberti was named Sheriff on October 26, 2007 and is a member of the National Sheriff’s Association (NSA).

Chief Scott M. Knight – Chaska (MN) Police Department. Chief Knight was appointed Chief of Police in January 2000 and serves as the Chairman of the IACP Firearms Committee.

Chief Val B. Demings - Orlando Police Department. Chief Demings was appointed Chief of Police on December 17, 2007 and is a member of IACP.

Doreen Hudson – Doreen is the Assistant Laboratory Director for the Los Angeles Police Department Crime Laboratory and is a member of the American Society of Crime Lab Directors (ASCLD) and IACP’s Firearms Committee.
